Carrier Identification Code - CICA 3-digit code that uniquely identifies a telecommunications carrier within the North American Numbering Plan (NANP). The CIC is indicated by an XXX in a Carrier Access Code where X can be any digit, 0 through 9. After an XXX code has been assigned to a carrier, the code is retained for use with either Feature Groups B (95OA-0XXX, 950-1XXX) or D (10XXX) throughout the area served by the NANP.
