Temporary Location Directory Number - TLDN
A temporary location directory number (TLDN) is a temporary identification number that is used to route calls from a home system and a visited communication system. TLDN numbers are commonly used in mobile communication systems where mobile telephones regularly operate in other (visited) systems. The TLDN is usually assigned for each call delivery request received from the home system. When the call is received into the visited system, it is mapped (translated) to the current resources (e.g. cell site and mobile number) that are currently being used in the visited system. SS7 Books
